Pregnancy Maintenance Initiative Coordinator

Location:
This position will train with the current PMI coordinator at the Wichita location, and will move to the Derby location when it opens in late 2024 or early 2025 (date to be determined.)

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, developing and nurturing strong, positive relationships through personalized support by ensuring their needs are understood and addressed promptly and effectively.
2. Identify, research, and access relevant community resources by evaluating options, establishing connections with local organizations, and ensuring their effective utilization to meet the needs of clients to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
3. Meet on a regular basis with the PMI Director to evaluate the effectiveness of the program and/or any improvements or adjustments that need to be made to the process to better meet the needs of the PMI participants.
4. Attend all advisory group meetings unless absence is approved by the PMI administrator.
5. Collaborate with PMI Director as needed with finding appropriate community resources especially when there is difficulty finding appropriate referral.
6. Assist with HopeNet, IRIS follow-up, and DAISEY input.
7. Complete or assist with all reporting requirements of KDHE.
8. Monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of the PMI program.
9. Assure that all requirements of the PMI program are being met in a timely fashion.
10. Maintain complete and accurate records.
11. Agree and comply with the Embrace statement of Faith and Statement of Principles. Comply with all established Embrace Policies and Procedures.
12. Complete all required training for the PMI program as well as Embrace.
13. Assist PMI Director with community outreach as needed.
14. Maintain a good working relationship with the state KDHE PMI program administrator.
15. Work as a team with the PMI Director, administrator, volunteers, nurses, and staff at Embrace.
16. Assist with required reports as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. Highly organized, good communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, good at multi tasking.
2. Bachelor’s degree in social work or Licensed Nurse.

Hours/Salary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Nurse Sonographer

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
2. Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position and to sexual purity
3. Agree with and be able to uphold the Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle, and policies of the center
4. Hold a current Kansas License (APRN or RN) and be in good standing with the State Medical Board. Obstetrical nursing experience and experience with ultrasound helpful
5. Possess grace-filled and compassionate interpersonal skills required and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
6. Demonstrate critical attention to detail
7. Express a sincere desire to reach out to women, men and families vulnerable to abortion
8. Work effectively as a team with other Embrace staff and volunteers to coordinate best practice services for clientele
9. Effectively instruct and facilitate best care practices to volunteers in center pregnancy testing procedure
10. Work independently, following specific instructions in matters pertaining to State Board requirements and Center services while maintaining strict confidentiality
11. Demonstrate sound decision making skills that provide best practice care for client needs

REPORTS TO: Executive Director

The Nurse Sonographer’s PRIMARY DUTIES include, but are not limited to the following:

ADMINISTRATION:
1. Attends staff prayer and meetings as scheduled
2. Assists with developing, maintaining, reviewing and updating Pregnancy Assessment Program policies and procedures
3. Maintains a working knowledge of nursing methods, principles and practices in relations to the prevention and treatment of disease, safety, and infection control, clinical systems, supplies, and equipment
4. Represents Embrace at various activities as requested by Executive Director
5. Annually reviews position description and sets goals in preparation for performance review with the Executive Director

CLIENT SERVICES:
1. Performs Pregnancy Assessments which include ultrasound, Doppler, STD testing/treatment, etc.
2. Ensures all Pregnancy Assessments are documented appropriately and entered into electronic medical records software (eKYROS) so it can be reviewed & signed off by a Medical Designee
3. Provides/coordinates APR services and ensures all APR documentation reporting is completed
4. Reinforces the humanity of the unborn child with the client
5. Provides client with life-affirming education according to the Embrace crisis intervention pregnancy counseling procedures
6. Assures that infection control guidelines are followed
7. Advises a client in prenatal care

NURSING CARE:
1. Provides nursing care; assesses client needs and makes nursing judgements which reflect safe nursing practices
2. Maintains accurate records and follow-through on physician’s orders
3. Assures accurate implementation of physician’s orders and advises physician of client’s progress and changes in condition
4. Provides education for client and family to develop an understanding of their health condition
5. Oversees client follow-up with volunteer pregnancy counselors

STAFF DEVELOPMENT:
1. Attends continuing education courses to maintain current Kansas licensure.
2. Assists Director of Pregnancy Care Services with in-service trainings as they pertain to Medical services.

30-32 hrs week/
$25/hour
